New Safety Environment Education will be conducted in the first semester of 2022.

It has been replaced by online courses due to the COVID-19 situation, so please check to ensure that you may all complete the course.

A. Name of education: New safety environment education for the Spring 2022 (alternative education)B. Subject to education: freshmen in science and engineering graduate school in the first semester, new recruitment researchers and employees, and those who have not completed new education, etc.

※ Currently, Science department (statistics, mathematics), education colleges (mathematics, geography), and nursing colleges are departments (departments) that apply to the Laboratory Safety Act, so please take measures to prevent omission of subjects.

※ In the case of chemical handling and biological research at the Department of Physical Education at the College of Education, they are also eligible for education.

※ Confirmation of the recognition of the existing new education certificate (effective from the second semester of 2019)

▪ In the case of continuous courses such as the integrated master's and doctorate courses, => Acceptable

▪ I was educated when I was a master's and Ph.D., and I was outside and had a degree course (graduate student, researcher, etc.), In the case of re-professor, etc.), => Not acceptable.

▪ In the case of completion of education prior to the enactment of the Laboratory Safety Act (2007), => Not  acceptable.

   ※ Information on mandatory subscription for training subjects for application for education.

▪ "Application and issuance of Seoul National University Portal MySNU ID".

   ※ Subjects of education (graduate students, researchers, employees) can apply for education when they are enrolled (academic) in the school.

B. Training schedule.

1) Education application: 2022.02.09 (Wed) to 02.21 (Mon), Online application => (Attachment 1) (Attachment 2) See Attachment 2.

※ Subjects can apply for SAFE's "  Group training.  " during the application period, and online courses can be issued online in the final "  Group training.  " if they complete the course in "Online Safety Education".

※ If you need to revise the classification by undergraduate department in (Attachment 1), please reply by e-mail (fadong79@snu.ac.kr).

2) Online courses: 2022.02.23 (Wed) to 03.23 (Wed), individual courses for opening courses.

3) Training completion processing: Only those who have completed the course within the online course period will be treated as new students in the safety environment for the first semester of 2022.

4) Issuance of training certificate: Online issuance of training certificate after accessing SAFE (site) from April 12, 2022 (Tue).

According to the relevant regulations, the head of the management agency is required to restrict access to the laboratory for those who have not completed new safety environment education. We ask for active support and cooperation from each institution so that all subjects do not complete this training and are not disadvantaged.
